2005 Update

I am and will always be a friend to you.

No-one and nothing is perfect.

But true friendship will overcome life’s imperfections,

celebrate its fallibility and grow richer because if it.

Purpose of this Website

Two days before Christmas 2000, a sequence of events occurred which would come to have long standing consequences for me.

The very close friendship and relationship which I had enjoyed for the previous 12 years with a lovely, happy and caring woman (Marie)  would be suddenly and detrimentally affected.

I would lose contact with her, as she and her family moved from the UK to America.

Most importantly of all Marie and I produced a most wonderful daughter, Hannah.  After a faltering start, in very unusual circumstances, Hannah had just started to play an active part in my life, but with the move to America she was taken from it.

With no direct knowledge of their whereabouts in America, I remain unable to make contact with them.

Moreover, a letter I received from Marie after their move to America explained that when Hannah wished to contact me, she will be encouraged to do so, but until then it would be better to stay out of contact.

Difficult as this may be to accept, I can understand why that might be a course of action which her family would wish to take.

However, having now moved from the address which I occupied in 2000 I want to make it as easy as possible to be found by Hannah and Marie, when they feel the time is right.

Therefore this site has a very specific purpose.  It is aimed directly at two people, Marie and Hannah, who will always be very special to me and who continue to occupy a place in my heart and mind.

I will always want to be contacted by either or both of them, no matter how much time may have passed. For Marie my friendship is unconditional, as is my love for Hannah.

There is also a rather more sobering reason for creating this site.  It is entirely possible that by the time Hannah raises her curiosity regarding her biological father, he (I) may no longer be alive.

Therefore, this site is not just a means to be found and contacted  It also aims to provide some insight into the person who is Hannah’s biological father, in the hope that it may help her understand some of the why’s and wherefores in the years that have been, and the years yet to come.

For this reason, the remainder of this site will be written as specific conversational narrative directly addressing Hannah, in the belief that she will one day find and read it.

I truly and desperately hope that we will meet again soon.

You should know that I have loved you

for every day of your life.
